Chelsey Olafson

Chelsey Olafson began nannying in 2011 when she moved to the Twin Cities. After gaining years of experience and growing as a professional nanny, Chelsey noticed a need for an active and informed local nanny community, so she helped build one, starting with Hotdish Nannies in 2020. When the local chapter of International Nanny Training Day needed new leadership, Chelsey was eager to step in as a co-chair, and together, they founded the Twin Cities Nanny Education Collective. This year, Chelsey views the nanny role from a different lens as she’s recently become a parent herself, and takes care of her own child alongside the children she nannies. Chelsey loves to stay in touch with all of her nanny kids over the years and remain a special part of their lives. As a nanny, Chelsey enjoys open-ended and child-led activities, messy sensory activities and crafts, regularly stocking up on a beautiful pile of library books, being outside as much as possible, and always having a dance partner. Her favorite local playground is Rosland Park in Edina.
